Fullstack Software Engineer - Client Analytics Platform

About the role

The Client Analytics technology team, part of the Client & data management group under Global Banking & Markets Technology, is modernizing its analytic platform to improve data quality and availability for better client relationship management and profitability insights. It is looking for a results-oriented, creative and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join the team on this project, working with big data and analytics and with stakeholders such as risk management, financial engineering, business analysts, architects and infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement quality solutions that solve complex business problems
• Build new functionalities and ETL processes, or enhance existing ones, ensuring end-to-end integration
• Ensure delivery meets integrity, quality, performance and reliability requirements, using automated testing and regression suites and DevOps principles
• Support existing applications, resolve business and technical issues and review code produced by technical consultants
• Coordinate infrastructure needs for Unix and Windows servers, cloud infrastructure and databases, and help with documentation on architecture, security and operational readiness
• Propose creative solutions to technical challenges and stay flexible in an evolving environment

Required profile

• 3-5 years of RDBMS experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server
• 3-5 years of Linux experience, including command line and shell scripting
• 3+ years of Python application development
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience
• Good understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, microservices architecture and high-performance, multi-threaded techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong problem-solving skills

Required skills

• Cloud-based applications, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher)
• DevOps and continuous delivery/deployment (Bitbucket, Jenkins)
• Apache Airflow; SAS or Talend and Spark are an advantage
• Tableau and Power BI knowledge is an asset
