General Manager – Hospitality

About the role

Socialtel is seeking an energetic and commercially‑driven General Manager to lead its flagship property in Medellín. The role combines operational oversight with strategic revenue management to deliver memorable guest experiences while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security and Guest Experience.
• Uphold Socialtel brand standards and ensure compliance with local health, safety and licensing regulations.
• Develop and execute occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and total revenue strategies, including partnerships and local sales initiatives.
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor GOP and EBITDA targets, control expenses and analyse monthly financial statements.
• Recruit, coach and retain department leaders, fostering a high‑performance, inclusive culture.
• Maintain high guest satisfaction scores, resolve escalated issues and continuously improve the guest journey.
• Represent Socialtel within the local hospitality community, building relationships with tourism bodies, universities and event organizers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of General Manager experience in hospitality, preferably in lifestyle hotels, hostels, resorts or mixed‑use properties.
• Proven track record of achieving financial targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, comfortable interacting with guests and partners.
