Global Markets Trading Intern

About the role

BNP Paribas Colombia is looking for an internship in Global Markets Trading, reporting to the Head of Global Markets Colombia and the Head of Global Markets Trading Latam. The intern supports the GM Trading team in Bogotá, working across FX, rates, credit, commodities and equity businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Book and allocate FX and rates products (spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs, bond repos, overnight swaps, inflation-linked contracts, UVR, EUR-COP) for onshore and offshore books
• Monitor intraday positions so traders stay within agreed risk limits
• Support forward-point arbitrage between FX spot and 1-month NDFs and help traders find liquidity for local bond and FX positions
• Provide quantitative and pricing support across flow and structured businesses, and maintain daily contact with senior traders in New York and London
• Use AI and automation to improve existing tools
• Monitor regulatory limits and exposures, run pre-trade and post-trade controls (Greenlight, ORUS, GCI) and follow remediation
• Adhere to AML, sanctions, KYC and client-interest protection policies
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and slides, take minutes of the weekly trading meeting and support inflation, UVR and EUR-COP NAC models

Required profile

• Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
• Fluent English (B2+)
• Able to understand capital and derivatives markets
• Certifications such as AMV Operador Básico, AMV Divisas, AMV Renta Fija or AMV Operador Derivados are desirable
