Healthcare Compliance Officer – Colombia & Costa Rica

About the role

The Healthcare Compliance Officer (HCCO) for Colombia and Costa Rica will lead end‑to‑end compliance strategy and operations for DePuy Synthes’ Orthopedics business. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures ethical conduct, risk management and adherence to local healthcare laws and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute compliance strategies aligned with global and regional priorities.
• Identify, assess and manage compliance risks across commercial, promotional, professional education, government interactions, supply chain and other business activities.
• Provide proactive guidance to senior leaders on compliance requirements and ethical decision‑making.
• Embed effective compliance controls into business processes and oversee training, monitoring, risk assessments and issue management.
• Partner with Legal and other functions to support investigations, audits and regulatory interactions.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Colombia and Costa Rica and present risk assessments to leadership.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years progressive experience in healthcare compliance, legal, risk management or audit.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and regulations in Colombia and Costa Rica.
• Demonstrated leadership of multi‑country compliance programs and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical, judgment and communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance or related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
