HVAC Design Engineer – Remote for US Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join a U.S.-based construction client’s team remotely from Latin America. You will create detailed shop drawings, perform system layouts, and coordinate mechanical designs under ASHRAE and U.S. standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and construction‑ready HVAC shop drawings using Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP.
• Design and coordinate ductwork, equipment layouts, and piping distribution for commercial and residential projects.
• Apply ASHRAE standards and U.S. mechanical codes to ensure compliant, constructible designs.
• Perform clash detection and spatial coordination with architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical disciplines using Navisworks or Bluebeam.
• Review mechanical plans and specifications, identify constructability issues, and propose practical solutions.

Required profile

• Advanced technical English (B2+/C1).
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC design, mechanical engineering, or MEP coordination.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent practical HVAC design experience.
• Resident in Latin America and eligible to work remotely.
