Hybrid Cloud Platform Sr. Engineer

About the role

Unisys is looking for a Senior Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to manage and operate Azure-based infrastructure (IaaS / PaaS) in hybrid environments, ensuring high availability, reliability and compliance with SLAs, SLOs, security and financial standards. The role covers incident, problem and change management, cloud optimization and the design and automation of cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and operate Azure IaaS / PaaS infrastructure and monitor SLA/SLO compliance
• Handle incident, problem and change management aligned to ITIL practices, and troubleshoot complex production issues in hybrid environments
• Ensure stability, financial and security compliance across cloud workloads
• Optimize capacity, resource utilization and costs (FinOps alignment)
• Design Azure solutions (landing zones, networking, identity, compute) and support cloud migration and modernization
• Build and maintain IaC templates with Bicep, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) and automate provisioning, configuration and environment consistency
• Drive adoption of automated testing, version-controlled infrastructure, continuous delivery and SRE principles (SLOs, error budgets, RCA, postmortems)
• Use PowerShell and CLI scripting to streamline operations

Required profile

• Strong experience in Azure cloud operations and engineering, including IaaS/PaaS in enterprise environments
• Background in hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and Azure) with networking, identity and security knowledge
• Hands-on IaC experience (Bicep, ARM or Terraform) focused on standardization and governance
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation with Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights and/or Grafana
• Experience applying SRE principles and familiarity with ITIL processes
• Cloud optimization experience (performance, scalability, cost) and collaboration across engineering, operations and customers
