Infrastructure Engineer – Mid Level

About the role

As a mid‑level Infrastructure Engineer at Hyland you will design, standardize and continuously improve the core infrastructure platforms that power enterprise applications and critical business systems. You will provide technical leadership across virtualization, cloud, compute, storage, data protection, automation, security and change management.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain standards for virtualization and hypervisor platforms, covering capacity, availability, lifecycle, performance and governance.
• Lead automation and scripting initiatives using PowerShell, Python and Ansible to reduce manual work and improve configuration control.
• Provide technical leadership for compute, storage and data‑protection systems, defining performance, backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery standards.
• Collaborate with security, application, network and operations teams to define requirements, document designs and guide implementations.
• Support change management by documenting, assessing risk, testing and communicating infrastructure changes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing, engineering or supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms in complex production environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with virtualization and hypervisor platforms, including capacity management and lifecycle planning.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible) to create repeatable processes.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure security, compliance, access controls and resilient design.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
