IT Healthcare Analyst - Professional Billing Trainer

About the role

Polaris Advisors, which partners with hospitals and health systems on healthcare IT, is looking for a Professional Billing Trainer to support a major U.S. healthcare organization. The role is based on-site in Bogotá, Colombia. You will first receive specialized training in Epic Professional Billing; once certified, you will train healthcare professionals on the system and its billing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and develop expertise in Epic Professional Billing.
• Train healthcare professionals on billing workflows and system functionalities.
• Deliver training sessions, demonstrations and hands-on exercises.
• Explain U.S. medical billing processes, including claims processing, charge capture and reimbursement.
• Develop training materials, presentations and user guides.
• Support users during onboarding, system adoption and implementation.
• Participate in workflow validation and system testing.
• Collaborate with billing, operational and technology teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience with U.S. healthcare professional billing workflows.
• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), medical claims and billing operations.
• Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding is preferred.
• Experience delivering training, onboarding or user support.
• Previous Epic experience is preferred but not required.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 required).
• Availability to work on-site in Bogotá.

Required skills

• Experience with EHR/EMR or healthcare billing systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
