IT Manager (Colombia Hub)

About the role

The IT Manager (Colombia Hub) leads day‑to‑day IT service delivery for Abbott’s Medical Devices business in Bogotá. Reporting through matrix leadership, the role ensures reliable, secure and compliant services while developing talent across a multi‑skilled team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary hub interface for MDIT and business leaders, translating demand into prioritized work and communicating performance, risks and roadblocks.
• Own workforce planning for approximately 25 IT resources, aligning skill sets to demand, managing schedules, coverage and throughput.
• Set clear expectations, provide coaching, manage performance, succession planning and onboarding.
• Partner with HR and MDIT to define roles, interview, hire and retain talent, building internal pipelines.
• Drive an inclusive, high‑performing culture through training, cross‑skilling, regular 1:1s and engagement actions.

Required profile

• University degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT operations, service delivery or technology support within a complex enterprise.
• 7–10 years of experience leading multi‑skilled teams.
• Proven ability to manage vendor/partner interactions and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
