IT Operations Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Operations Engineer to own the day‑to‑day technology landscape of our Bogotá office. Working on a hybrid schedule and reporting to the Security and Compliance Lead, you will turn reactive support into a reliable, secure, and well‑documented system trusted by both teammates and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of laptops and equipment – provisioning, remote monitoring, patching, and retirement.
• Control user accounts and software licenses across Google Workspace, Slack and Apple Business Manager, ensuring proper access and cost recovery.
• Build and maintain clear, documented processes for onboarding, off‑boarding and access requests, providing an audit‑ready paper trail.
• Enforce baseline security on every device (encryption, antivirus, screen locks, updates) and keep evidence ready for audits.
• Automate repetitive tasks using AI tools, scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell) and workflow platforms to reduce manual effort.
• Serve as the first point of contact for hardware, network, or software issues for both office and remote users, communicating fluently in English and Spanish.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration or senior help‑desk roles.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, able to write documentation and explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on security best practices and process improvement.

Required skills

• Device‑management tools such as Jamf, Intune, Kaseya, Addigy or Kandji (Mac, Windows, Linux).
• Google Workspace administration, Slack, Apple Business Manager.
• Fundamental security knowledge: encryption, antivirus, access control, secure‑network practices.
• Scripting/automation experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell or workflow tools like Airtable/Slack.
