About the role
Canals is looking for a senior software engineer to lead backend development for its wholesale distribution platform. The role focuses on building scalable, high‑performance systems that support a growing customer base across the Americas. You will work remotely while collaborating closely with product and customer teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement backend solutions emphasizing scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Own large, complex projects from planning through deployment.
- Collaborate directly with product and customer teams to align engineering with business needs.
- Balance hands‑on coding with guiding the team’s technical direction.
Required profile

- Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, product‑focused environment.
- Comfort taking ownership of deliverables and ensuring high‑standard project delivery.
- Capability to guide and unblock other engineers through code reviews and architectural feedback.
