IT/OT Onsite Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an IT/OT Engineer to support and maintain the Information Technology and Operational Technology infrastructure at our Buenaventura Terminal. You will ensure secure, reliable, and stable technology operations while collaborating with local and regional technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain IT and OT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backup, and network devices.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate escalations.
• Support technology upgrades, lifecycle replacements, and modernization initiatives.
• Maintain OT systems such as CCTV, OCR, biometric devices, Vehicle Mounted Terminals and industrial network equipment.
• Execute patch management, vulnerability remediation, backup validation, disaster‑recovery activities and infrastructure monitoring.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset inventories and infrastructure diagrams while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and change‑management standards.

Required profile

• Strong continuous‑improvement mindset with proactive problem‑solving.
• Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, servers, virtualization, storage and backup environments.
• Working knowledge of OT devices (CCTV, OCR, biometric systems, industrial networks).
• Ability to collaborate with regional teams, vendors and operational stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
