Java Software Developer

About the role

StoneX Group is seeking a hands‑on Java Software Engineer to build high‑performing, scalable, enterprise‑grade applications for its financial services business. You will join a talented team working on low‑latency, mission‑critical systems and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server‑side components using Java 21+, Spring Boot and micro‑services architecture.
• Implement RESTful APIs and gRPC services, integrate with Kafka/Redpanda streaming platforms, and work with PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, write testable code, and support CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, lead technical discussions, and contribute to architectural reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in financial services or FinTech.
• Proven ability to work in a global Agile team and communicate effectively in English.
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a strong GitHub portfolio.

Required skills

• Java 21+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, gRPC.
• Kafka/Redpanda, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• SQL (PostgreSQL, MSSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD/BDD) and related testing frameworks.
