About the role
Canonical is seeking a Junior Project Manager to help streamline and accelerate the adoption of open source technologies across global enterprises. You will work with distributed teams to ensure project success for complex software initiatives on bare metal, cloud, and edge environments.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver programs and projects on schedule, within scope, budget, and resource constraints.
- Identify and mitigate technical and project risks.
- Maintain strong customer focus and collaborate with all stakeholders.
- Organise regular status meetings and business reviews with customers.
- Support the delivery schedule of critical third‑party deliverables.
- Advocate Canonical’s technology portfolio to customers.
Required profile
- Strong academic background in science, software engineering, or IT.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to “make things happen”.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in school or university.
- Outstanding academic record and a passion for technology demonstrated through personal projects.
- Professional work ethic and confidence to share ideas and feedback.
