Lead Data Engineer - Advertising
Truelogic
Job description
About the role
Truelogic, a nearshore staff augmentation provider with more than 600 tech professionals in Latin America, is recruiting a Lead Data Engineer for its advertising client. The client is a technology and creative network with a 50/50 split between creative and engineers, and partners with CMOs, CTOs and CIOs. The Lead Data Engineer will architect and build the scalable data infrastructure behind real-time insights, predictive systems and generative AI applications, turning static data lakes and warehouses into active, low-latency backends for real-time, agentic AI. The role is fully remote and open to candidates located in Latin America.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and scale high-throughput, low-latency data infrastructure connecting cloud data lakes and warehouses to AI backends and real-time agentic workflows.
- Turn static data repositories into active context layers, vector engines and memory systems for autonomous AI agents.
- Build real-time ingestion, event-driven streaming and retrieval pipelines (RAG, vector stores, operational databases).
- Set data architecture standards, CI/CD, documentation and data quality best practices, and mentor data engineers.
- Work with Machine Learning Engineers, product teams, creative directors and agency stakeholders to deliver production-grade data APIs and schemas.
- Use AI-powered coding, agentic engineering and automated workflows to speed development.
Required profile
- 5+ years in data engineering, with experience designing and scaling data pipelines and cloud infrastructure from the ground up.
- Proven track record of activating data infrastructure for real-time downstream applications, beyond batch ETL/ELT and static warehousing.
- Experience building data layers for real-time, event-driven applications, vector databases or RAG at scale.
- Strong cloud expertise and leadership, including mentoring engineers and setting standards.
- Located in Latin America, fluent in English; hybrid tech/creative culture.
Required skills
- AWS, GCP or Azure, with Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery.
- Advanced Python and SQL.
- Vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, Milvus or pgvector.
- AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows.
What we offer
- 100% remote work.
- Highly competitive pay in USD.
- Paid time off.
- Autonomy to manage your own time and focus on results.
- Projects with top American companies and a global network of 600+ professionals.
