Lead, Data Product Management - Governance

About the role

Johnson & Johnson MedTech Digital Solutions is looking for a Lead, Data Product Management - Governance in Bogotá. The role drives the hands-on delivery, adoption and governance of data products, ensuring they are well-defined, discoverable, trusted and aligned with business priorities, enterprise data standards and regulatory expectations. It works closely with business owners, technology teams, governance partners and data engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce data product governance, including ownership and stewardship, lifecycle controls and metadata standards.
• Elicit, clarify and prioritize business data requirements and turn them into acceptance criteria and product specifications.
• Work with data engineering to validate designs, transformations, pipelines and SLAs.
• Maintain and improve the data catalog, business glossaries and metadata so entries are consistent and discoverable.
• Define, monitor and manage data quality rules, coordinate issue triage and drive remediation.
• Partner with architecture, privacy, legal, regulatory, records management and security teams for compliant, scalable solutions.
• Create playbooks, runbooks, onboarding materials and training to drive adoption and repeatable processes.
• Act as subject-matter expert and mentor to data stewards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in data product management, data governance, data stewardship, analytics, business analysis or enterprise data enablement.
• Preferred: experience in a regulated environment such as MedTech, healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
• Strong communicator, cross-functional influencer and mentor; able to drive outcomes without direct reports.
• Up to 10% travel may be required; the role is fully onsite.

Required skills

• Hands-on familiarity with data catalogs, metadata management, business glossaries, data quality tooling and requirements documentation.
• Preferred: experience with Alation, Collibra, Jira, Confluence, Power BI or similar platforms.
