Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the design, automation, and reliability of enterprise cloud platforms. You will work with multinational teams on innovative projects, shaping architecture and operational best practices across Azure and AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement highly available, resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with development and operations teams to optimise deployment pipelines and system performance.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring using IaC tools.
• Promote and enforce CI/CD standards across multiple squads.
• Manage and resolve incidents in production and test environments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for infrastructure and processes.
• Ensure cloud operations comply with security and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor team members on DevOps tools and cloud technologies.
• Participate in incident reviews and drive reliability improvements.
• Explore and recommend innovative tools and practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, DevOps or cloud engineering.
• At least 1 year in a leadership or team‑coordination role.
• Proven track record designing and supporting high‑availability cloud solutions in large organisations.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
• Solid Python scripting skills and background in a statically typed OOP language (C# or Java).
• Fluent English (B2+).
