Lead Finance Analyst – Country Finance Manager, Innovative Medicine

About the role

The Lead Finance Analyst – Country Finance Manager (CFM) for Innovative Medicine will head the finance team delivering end‑to‑end financial services for the Canadian business, combining deep Accounting‑to‑Report expertise with strategic finance partnering to drive value, compliance and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, own trial balance, income statement and balance sheet reviews, and ensure SOX compliance and audit support.
• Act as a strategic finance advisor across the One Americas region, providing insights for planning, forecasting, M&A activities and performance management.
• Drive standardisation, automation and process improvement across markets using digital tools such as CFIN and SAP.
• Develop and lead a high‑performing finance team in Latin America, champion DE&I initiatives and influence cross‑functional finance and business units.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including shared services and commercial finance, with at least 3 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong ability to lead through influence in matrixed, multicultural environments and communicate effectively in English and Spanish (Portuguese a plus).
• Proven track record of delivering process improvements that generate cost avoidance, compliance enhancements or revenue growth.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with LATAM accounting standards.
