Lead/Principal Go Developer – Real-Time Bidding Platform

About the role

We are seeking a Lead/Principal Go Developer to drive the design and implementation of a high‑load, low‑latency real‑time bidding platform for a leading ad‑tech client. You will work within Sigma Software’s expert engineering team, shaping core backend services that power programmatic advertising at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build core backend services for real‑time bidding, optimization, and ad delivery.
• Develop custom bidding agents that make instant bid decisions.
• Implement high‑throughput, low‑latency components supporting auction mechanics.
• Integrate proprietary pacing, bid‑shading, and optimization logic.
• Design forecasting modules for impressions, reach, and campaign planning.
• Work with OpenRTB, JSON, protobuf and other ad‑tech protocols.
• Connect to data and metrics pipelines for real‑time reporting.
• Implement observability, monitoring and troubleshooting using ELK stack.
• Collaborate with product, data, and ad‑operations teams to deliver scalable performance advertising capabilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong production experience with Golang.
• Proven ability to design high‑load, low‑latency distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience with JSON‑based integrations and protobuf or similar protocols.
• Experience with low‑latency data stores and caching technologies.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency.
