Legal Counsel – Corporate & Compliance

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy's Legal & Integrity team in Bogota to provide legal guidance, manage contracts, and support compliance initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts under guidance.
• Support corporate governance, including preparation of corporate documents and regulatory filings.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance and integrity programs.
• Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on legal matters in Colombia.

Required profile

• Law degree with a valid professional license.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate law, compliance, contract analysis and negotiation.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
