Lifecycle & Email Marketing Manager (Braze)

About the role

A membership platform for people buying small businesses needs a remote, hands-on Lifecycle & Email Marketing Manager. Every email and SMS sent to users affects whether they start a trial, convert to paid, stay and succeed. The role owns all messaging in Braze, from the first message a new trial member receives to announcements, renewals and win-back campaigns. It is an independent contractor position based in Latin America, working 9AM-5PM Monday to Friday US Pacific Time.

Key responsibilities

• Own all email and SMS sent to users in Braze: flows, campaigns, announcements and their copy
• Build, launch and maintain trial, new member, paying member, lapsed member and win-back flows, and write and edit the copy
• Build multi-step Braze Canvases with triggers, segments and timing based on product and billing events, and test every flow end to end
• Run A/B tests on subject lines, content, send timing and offers, report results and keep a testing log
• Confirm that user events from the product, PostHog and Stripe reach Braze correctly, and keep audiences matching between Braze and GoHighLevel
• Protect sender reputation (list hygiene, bounces, complaints, suppression) and keep SMS consent and opt-outs compliant
• Track opens, clicks, conversions, unsubscribes and revenue impact, and report weekly on trial-to-paid and retention with the Head of Product

Required profile

• 7-10+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM or email marketing, ideally for a subscription or SaaS business with US customers
• Hands-on experience building multi-step flows and campaigns in Braze (Canvas, segments, events)
• Experience with trial nurture and paid conversion messaging
• Proven experience running A/B tests and interpreting results
• Strong written and spoken English (C1 or above) and full availability during US Pacific business hours
