Lighting & AV Systems Designer (CAD, DMX) - Remote LatAm

About the role

Green LED Lighting Solutions, a Canadian LED manufacturer, supplies systems for buildings, signs and entertainment venues across North America. It needs one more person at its design desk to turn the design lead's markups into complete design packages and to support installers. The position is remote, contract-based, open to candidates in Argentina, Mexico and Colombia, with a daytime schedule in their own time zone.

Key responsibilities

• Produce the design package from the design lead's markups: wiring and single-line diagrams, fixture and cable layouts, controller and addressing schedules, pathway and assembly drawings, in AutoCAD to the company's standard.
• Build the costed bill of materials in the CPQ and ERP, including connectors, PSUs, amplifiers and wire.
• Hold the installer support line about 40% of the week, covering pixel data faults, DMX addressing, voltage drop and controller setup; turn repeat calls into installer-facing documentation.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a design or drafting seat at an AV, lighting or systems integrator, producing signal-flow, rack, cable schedule or wiring packages that were built.
• Low-voltage DC fundamentals: voltage drop, power injection, PSU sizing (tested).
• Spoken English good enough to explain a fault to a US or Canadian electrician; live phone screen in English.
• Daily use of AI in work; full availability 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern, Monday to Friday.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (Revit or D-Tools a plus)
• Preferred but trainable: DMX512, SPI pixel protocols (WS2811, UCS, TM18xx) and brands such as Advatek, Falcon, PixLite, ENTTEC, Pharos, Madrix
