Security Proposal Lead

About the role

Johnson Controls is looking for a Security Proposal Lead to support security-system opportunities in Bogotá, Colombia, with technical proposal development, estimating and engineering coordination. The role covers the full proposal lifecycle, from RFP analysis and design development through pricing, drawings and handoff support, working with internal engineering and commercial teams on fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, intrusion and building automation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support Requests for Proposals with takeoffs, bill of materials creation and pricing.
• Create pre-design drawings, shop drawings, submittal drawings and As-Built drawings based on site surveys and client standards.
• Prepare post-sales design drawings and engineering packages.
• Review project scope, assumptions and technical requirements to support accurate proposals.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams on high-complexity projects.
• Support internal project review processes and proposal quality checks.
• Provide technical guidance and development support to new hires and engineering team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in fire alarm, security, CCTV and/or construction design activities.
• Advanced knowledge of electronic security systems such as access control, video, intrusion, fire alarm and building automation.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments and responsibilities.
• Advanced business-level English (B2+).

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Nice to have: Revit experience.
• Nice to have: experience with NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code).
• Nice to have: brand certification with Software House, Kantech, Lenel, ExacqVision, ProWatch or similar platforms.
