Logistics Assistant/Driver

About the role

The United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia is seeking a Logistics Assistant/Driver to provide timely and professional logistics support to the Regional Administrative Officer (RAO) and the Head of Office (HoO). The role combines vehicle operation with administrative logistics tasks across multiple Colombian cities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, punctual ground transportation for authorized personnel and documents.
• Support the RAO and HoO in office maintenance, equipment upkeep, and facilities continuity.
• Coordinate logistics and administrative support with the Mission Support Unit and other mission components (military, police, security).
• Prepare requisitions, service entry sheets, and material request orders; enter data into UN logistics systems.
• Update databases on stock levels, asset holdings, and logistics project status.
• Generate status and other logistics reports as required.
• Assist in developing and executing logistics contingency and emergency plans.
• Log official trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with UN road safety, security, and incident‑reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and proven experience in safe vehicle operation.
• Experience in logistics or transport support, preferably in an international or UN context.
• Familiarity with UN procurement and logistics regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under direct supervision.
• Willingness to travel across designated Colombian locations.

Required skills

• Safe driving and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Logistics coordination and record‑keeping.
• Use of standard office software for data entry and reporting.
