Logistics Coordinator – Freight Forwarding (Medellín)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage end‑to‑end international import and export shipments for our freight forwarding operations in Medellín. The role involves coordinating air and ocean freight, ensuring compliance with trade regulations, and delivering excellent customer service throughout the shipping process.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute import and export shipments via air and ocean freight, booking cargo with carriers and confirming schedules.
• Monitor shipments from booking to final delivery, proactively handling delays or disruptions.
• Create and send booking confirmations, and prepare all required shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure compliance with international trade regulations and Incoterms.
• Maintain accurate shipment files for audit purposes.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, providing timely updates and resolving inquiries.
• Collaborate with the Pricing Team on shipment costs, share carrier pricing, verify vendor invoices, and submit customer billing accurately.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing international import/export operations.
• Hands‑on experience coordinating air and/or ocean freight shipments.
• English proficiency at B2+ or C1 level (written and spoken).
