Manager, Accounting

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Accounting to join its Corporate Controllership team in Purchase, NY. The role supports the Director of Accounting and works closely with Business Unit and Regional Controllers to ensure the integrity of financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and ad‑hoc management reports, including variance analysis and executive presentations.
• Research and interpret accounting guidance, providing recommendations that comply with US GAAP.
• Identify and implement automated solutions to streamline accounting processes.
• Assist in drafting technical accounting memorandums and ensure alignment with approved business cases.
• Establish, monitor and enforce operational and SOX controls, recommending improvements where needed.
• Support process‑improvement initiatives across the Corporate Controllership function.

Required profile

• Fluent in English.
• Degree in Accounting and CPA (or equivalent) certification.
• Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
• Self‑motivated team player capable of managing multiple projects.
