Medical Science Liaison - Bone Health

About the role

Amgen is hiring a Medical Science Liaison for its Bone Health program. The role engages healthcare customers and payers to share clinical and scientific data, supports scientific engagement plans and helps cultivate long-term relationships. It sits within Amgen's broader mission of serving patients living with serious illnesses.

Key responsibilities

• Engage healthcare customers to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data, and convey clinical value, outcomes and economic data to payers, providers, partners, advocates and access enablers.
• Respond to unsolicited inquiries in line with MSL compliance standards.
• Provide and present field observations and insights to internal partners, and implement the scientific engagement plan according to annual goals and metrics.
• Develop and implement local OL plans and support speaker training so speakers stay up to date on new data.
• Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research and lead or join project teams supporting MSL strategy.
• Lead and support congress activities, and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues; may act as main point of contact.
• Maintain clinical competence, complete training on time, and may act as training lead, New Hire Mentor and/or international MSL mentor/trainer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Or proficiency in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
• Preferred: teamwork with cross-functional teams, relationship building, technical knowledge, problem solving, digital competences, business and healthcare industry knowledge, and leadership and integrity.
