Middleware Architect (OpenShift)

About the role

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Middleware Architect with strong OpenShift experience. You will assess existing legacy systems against the business and IT needs of clients and deliver optimal architecture and technology strategies. Using APIs, microservices and container technology, you will enable rapid service delivery, support cloud migration and system optimization, and help clients accelerate their digital transformation. You will collaborate with Red Hat product and global teams and lead each project while keeping close communication with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business issues by understanding customers' business and IT needs and propose optimal solutions
• Communicate regularly with customers to build trust
• Provide technical leadership and help implement architectural designs using Red Hat products
• Work with Product Engineering, Business Development, Consulting, Support and Sales teams
• Take part in internal initiatives, write consulting whitepapers and update the knowledge base
• Serve as a senior trusted adviser to customers and partners and help shape their technology roadmaps
• Initiate new projects, guide the implementation team and monitor progress against the overall architecture
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to deploy application modernization capabilities

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on development and deployment projects
• Senior technical post-sales or partner-facing consulting experience
• Excellent written and verbal English, and highly effective Japanese with stakeholder negotiation skills
• Proven track record of building relationships at engineering, commercial and executive levels
• Red Hat certifications are a plus
