Mining & Water Market Sector Lead

About the role

The Mining & Water Market Sector Lead will head AECOM’s mining and water practice in Bogota, driving business development and overseeing major projects across Colombia and the wider Latin American region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams as program manager, project manager or technical lead on large mining and water projects.
• Develop and execute pursuit strategies for new projects, preparing proposals and engaging with clients.
• Support senior leadership in shaping business strategies based on market trends and opportunities.
• Maintain client relationships, ensure satisfaction, and coordinate feedback with delivery teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• Extensive knowledge of mining markets, water sector trends, and client bases in Latin America.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Proven ability to lead projects, business development initiatives and collaborate across geographies.
