Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer to lead remediation system operations, soil and groundwater investigations, and related projects. The role blends technical analysis, system design, and data management while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate remediation data and treatment performance, developing operation and maintenance plans.
• Analyze data and prepare engineering reports, plans, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Model subsurface conditions and remediation performance; assist with remedial technology design.
• Plan and support field work, including pre‑design investigations, system operations, maintenance, monitoring, groundwater sampling, and fluid level gauging.
• Manage budgeting, scheduling, and scope tracking for remediation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
• 4+ years of experience in remediation projects and soil/groundwater monitoring studies.
• 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting (preferred).
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience using environmental data management systems such as EQuIS, Locus EIM, ESdat, or EDS.
