Network Operations Specialist

About the role

WSP Colombia is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to ensure the efficient operation of its internal network services within the AMER Hub. The role is part of the IT Operations team and reports to the IT Infrastructure Operations Manager, supporting a global network used by more than 65,000 users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, monitor and maintain day‑to‑day network activities to meet service level agreements.
• Perform routine health checks, upgrades, performance tuning and fault correction.
• Plan and execute minor infrastructure moves, adds, changes and disposals (IMACDs).
• Conduct business continuity tests and support audit/compliance activities.
• Provide on‑call support and participate in problem‑management processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 4‑6 years of practical experience in a network operations role within a large, global enterprise.
• Experience with ITIL‑aligned service management and multi‑vendor network environments.
• Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and strong documentation skills.

Required skills

• WAN, wired and wireless LAN, perimeter security, Security Services Edge (SSE).
• Software‑Defined WAN (Aruba/Silver Peak) and cloud networking (Microsoft Azure).
• Cloud‑based internet security (Zscaler Internet Access) and remote access solutions (Zscaler Private Access, Cisco AnyConnect).
• Multi‑vendor LAN switching and wireless (Cisco, Aruba), next‑generation firewalls (Palo Alto), load balancers (F5 Networks).
• Identity and access control platforms (Cisco ISE) and network automation/DevOps practices.
