Payroll Senior Team Lead (Bogotá)

About the role

The Payroll Senior Team Lead delivers timely, accurate and compliant payroll for designated countries, acting as the first level of payroll leadership. The role covers daily execution, team performance, service quality and compliance, and leads a team of analysts and senior analysts on payroll operations, projects and audits while partnering with third-party vendors. The position is based in Bogotá, Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for assigned countries, including payroll controls, approvals (including off-cycle payments), reconciliations, accounting entries and statutory remittances
• Act as escalation point for payroll issues and concerns, and maintain relationships with third-party vendors against service level agreements
• Ensure payroll activities comply with SOX, business controls and applicable laws, and lead or monitor audits
• Maintain payroll procedures, work instructions and databases, and uphold data privacy
• Lead payroll projects, drive improvements in accuracy and efficiency, and oversee UAT of system changes and vendor upgrades
• Mentor and coach senior analysts and junior team members, oversee hiring and onboarding, and support the Payroll Manager/Lead

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll, HR and/or finance operations
• Minimum 3 years in a management/people leader role
• Proven hands-on experience managing United States and Canada payroll for salaried and hourly employees, including payroll taxes and time and attendance administration
• Proven experience with ADP vendors, including service delivery oversight and escalation
• Excellent English, strong attention to detail, confidentiality and stakeholder management

Required skills

• Payroll and HR systems: SAP and/or Workday preferred; ADP and other payroll systems advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and common Office tools
• Case management or ticketing tools; preferred: ADP GlobalView, Workday HCM, eTIME, ServiceNow
• Preferred: familiarity with SOX, automation tools such as Alteryx, and project management skills
