Platform Engineer (AWS & Kubernetes)

About the role

A mid-level Platform Engineer is sought to build and scale the core infrastructure supporting the company's rapid growth. The role designs reliable platform services, manages cloud resources on AWS and Kubernetes and works closely with engineering and data science teams to keep systems performant and secure. Distributed architecture and AI-native tooling are valued.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable and reliable platform services.
• Measure, monitor and optimize system performance, fixing bottlenecks and improving infrastructure.
• Manage cloud resources and service boundaries, ensuring security and operational excellence.
• Implement best practices and tools to speed up development and increase efficiency.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including senior leadership, on project status, risks and issues.

Required profile

• 3+ years of server development in Python or TypeScript.
• 1+ year of API design and development with REST/gRPC.
• 1+ year of AWS and Kubernetes, including service mesh tools such as Istio, Linkerd or Cilium.
• 1+ year building advanced components such as service registries, streaming, event buses, distributed caching and federated persistence.
• 6+ months with LLMs, prompt engineering, harness engineering or AIOps tooling.
• 6+ months of SDLC AI-native use via tools like Claude Code or Claude Cowork.
• Excellent communication, quick learner and ownership mindset.
