Platform Engineer (Remote, Colombia-based)
Andes Workforce
Job description
About the role
A U.S. legal technology company, represented by Andes Workforce, is hiring a single Platform Engineer to own its three production systems: a document management platform with AI-assisted document analysis, a client check-in mobile app, and a Salesforce case-management app. The role is 100% remote, full-time and long-term, open only to candidates based in Colombia, with a starting pay of $2,500 USD per month.
Key responsibilities
- Keep the three production systems healthy: monitor them, catch failed jobs and integration errors early, and handle incidents calmly.
- Provide first- and last-line technical support: triage, reproduce, fix the root cause and close the loop with users.
- Review and correct AI-generated code before it ships, acting as the final quality gate.
- Run releases (staging to production, Salesforce sandbox to production, app store releases) with change notes and rollbacks.
- Build and maintain features across the stack: Django/React, Kotlin/React Native, and Apex/LWC/Flow.
- Keep integrations running between Salesforce, the document management platform and Microsoft Graph (Outlook, SharePoint).
- Onboard new law firms onto the platform without breaking existing ones.
- Supervise the existing customer support staff and work directly with attorneys, paralegals and intake teams.
Required profile
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including ownership of a production web app used by paying customers (deployments, backups, monitoring, incidents).
- Professional experience in Python/Django or Kotlin/Java, with the ability to pick up the other; solid React; React Native and app store releases are a plus.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex.
- Fluent spoken and written English and substantial overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours.
- Patient with non-technical users, precise diagnosis and self-direction; no project manager feeding tickets.
Required skills
- Salesforce development: Apex, LWC, Flow, custom objects, sharing model, DX/CLI deployments (certification a plus).
- Integrations: REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, Named Credentials; Microsoft Graph strongly preferred.
- Nice to have: multi-tenant experience, legal industry tools (Litify, Clio, Filevine), Microsoft 365 / Entra administration.
What we offer
- Direct access to the decision-maker and a small, senior, high-trust team.
- AI tools provided and encouraged.
- Growing roadmap with intake automation, AI-assisted document workflows and new firms joining the platform.
