Process Designer II – Cadworx P&ID Specialist

About the role

Pond & Company is seeking an experienced Process Designer to support energy projects in the oil and gas sector. You will create detailed Process Engineering and P&ID drawings using Cadworx and collaborate closely with Process and Mechanical Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate Cadworx P&IDs and related technical diagrams based on engineering information and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for drawings, symbols, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Process and Mechanical Engineers to verify system design, equipment location, and control instrumentation.
• Maintain and update drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support engineering teams by preparing clear, organized schematics for review, approval, and construction.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in drawings and documentation.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in P&ID drafting in the oil, gas or energy sector.
• Technical studies or equivalent experience in drafting, engineering technology or related areas.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to produce high‑quality drawings in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Required skills

• Mastery of Cadworx P&ID.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D (or similar CAD programs).
• Solid understanding of process flow, instrumentation and control systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, ANSI, ASME.
