Product Manager - Assortment Analytics & Activation

About the role

NielsenIQ is looking for a Product Manager on its Assortment Analytics & Activation team in Bogota. You will define and deliver analytics solutions that help retailers and manufacturers optimize assortment decisions, improve category performance and drive measurable business results. You will work with Data Science, Engineering, UX, Commercial and Operations teams to prioritize and deliver product innovations, and collaborate with product teams and cross-functional groups across regions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritize a product backlog for the assortment portfolio, balancing technical scalability, data quality and business objectives.
• Gather and synthesize customer feedback, market insights, usage analytics and competitive intelligence to inform product investment decisions.
• Define product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for forecasting, optimization, simulation, recommendation engines and decision-support tools.
• Work with Data Scientists and Software Engineers and understand data pipelines, machine learning workflows, APIs and cloud-based analytics platforms.
• Evaluate trade-offs between functionality, performance, usability, accuracy, complexity and delivery timelines.
• Lead product planning and execution in a scaled Agile environment, taking part in quarterly planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews and continuous improvement.
• Define and monitor success metrics such as user adoption, customer satisfaction and commercial impact.
• Lead cross-functional decisions across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Commercial, Operations and Customer Success teams.
• Support release planning and go-to-market activities with Commercial, Marketing and Customer Success teams.
