Project Manager - Software Solutions Implementation

About the role

Sutherland is hiring Project Managers for its software solutions implementation business in Bogotá. The Project Manager plans and controls the activities needed to deliver projects to customers on time, on budget and with the required quality, even in the face of risks and issues. The role leads risk anticipation and mitigation planning and works with multicultural teams across the globe.

Key responsibilities

• End-to-end management of a project or program of projects, covering scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications and risk management, and stakeholder management.
• Manage all project phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closing.
• Apply project management methodologies, processes, tools, techniques and templates; define tasks and prepare project plans.
• Monitor, manage and communicate project progress, manage scope and scope changes, and motivate the project team while giving performance feedback.
• Act as the single point of contact for assigned projects and the customer, representing the business unit in internal and external forums and advising clients on roadmaps and long-range plans to maximize ROI.
• Proactively manage issues, keep stakeholders informed and escalate them internally when needed.
• Report project status to stakeholders on an agreed frequency, manage project-related revenue and forecasts, and measure the quality and efficiency of each delivery.
• Share lessons learned, suggest improvements, assess project results and contribute to improving the project management methodology.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of current, proven experience as a PM leading teams in a matrix environment.
• Experience with international clients and as a project manager for a consulting or software organization delivering solutions to external clients.
• Experience managing the full software SDLC, including discovery, design and development of custom solutions.
• Proven ability to manage complex, dynamic and large simultaneous projects for external customers, and to build strong customer relationships.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in systems engineering and related fields.
• Proficiency in English; PMP certification desirable.

The position is hybrid, based at Sutherland's facilities in Torre Krystal, Usaquén, Bogotá.
