Python Backend Engineer (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev, a technology project company with more than 15 years of experience and a team of 4,000+ remote engineers, is hiring a Python Backend Engineer. You will build and maintain robust backend services and APIs for complex applications, integrating web frameworks and databases into high-performance, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Implement and optimise web applications with frameworks such as Django, FastAPI or Flask.
• Design and manage relational database schemas and integrations, specifically with PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architectural standards and feature requirements.
• Ensure performance, security and reliability of backend systems through rigorous testing and optimisation.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Python backend development.
• Proven expertise in building scalable backend services and APIs with Python.
• Strong background in software engineering best practices, including code optimisation and API design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Python web frameworks: Django, FastAPI or Flask
• PostgreSQL
• RESTful API design
