QA Engineer - Web Platform

About the role

RV Staffing is looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to support the functionality, stability and reliability of a web-based platform. The role focuses on manual testing, regression testing, API validation, defect investigation and cross-browser compatibility, and is fully remote in Colombia.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test cases for new features, functional requirements and regression testing
• Validate application functionality, integrations and expected system behavior
• Identify, document and track bugs with reproduction steps, expected versus actual results and severity levels
• Perform manual and/or automated API testing of backend services and integrations
• Ensure consistent performance across browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and devices
• Use basic database queries to validate data and investigate defects
• Maintain or contribute to automated test scripts with Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or pytest
• Work with developers to troubleshoot issues and with product stakeholders to clarify requirements
• Identify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements to testing workflows

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance
• Strong understanding of manual testing, test case design and defect lifecycle management
• Experience with functional, regression, integration and cross-browser testing
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision

Required skills

• Jira and TestRail for bug tracking and test management
• Basic SQL, MongoDB and Databricks
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• At least one automation framework: Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or pytest
