About the role
We are seeking a remote Physics Educator to design and solve advanced physics problems that will be used to evaluate large language models. This short‑term contract lasts 11 weeks and offers flexible, task‑based compensation.
Key responsibilities
- Design challenging physics problems spanning undergraduate to PhD level for LLM evaluation.
- Create clear, step‑by‑step solutions with detailed reasoning and visual explanations.
- Collaborate with LLM researchers to develop new benchmark datasets and reasoning tasks.
- Analyze complex physics scenarios using logical, structured approaches.
- Help define and document evaluation criteria for future model assessments.
Required profile
- Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or a closely related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills for remote collaboration.
Required skills
- Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.
