Remote US GAAP Accountant for Hospitality Clients

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a reliable Accountant to manage day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of hospitality clients operating under US GAAP. This remote, client‑facing position offers high ownership and the chance to work across hotels, restaurants, and related businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle accounting for multiple hospitality clients, including general ledger management, month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Coordinate directly with clients to gather information, clarify transactions, and communicate results.
• Identify discrepancies, process gaps, and improvement opportunities, and adapt quickly to evolving client needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with full‑cycle close ownership.
• Strong, practical knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience serving US‑based clients or working in a US‑facing accounting environment.
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Self‑directed, organized, and comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑volume settings.
