Accounting Specialist – Americas

About the role

ChainGPT is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Specialist to own end‑to‑end accounting and finance operations for a multi‑entity group operating across multiple jurisdictions. You will be responsible for audit‑ready books, disciplined controls, and compliant reporting across both crypto and fiat activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and year‑end close across all entities, maintaining the general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepaids and FX revaluations.
• Manage multi‑entity bookkeeping, intercompany invoicing, reconciliations and related‑party documentation.
• Lead crypto transaction accounting, ensuring wallet, exchange and token balances are reconciled with strong audit trails.
• Implement finance controls, maintain a compliance calendar and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Produce management‑ready reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and support budgeting, forecasting and treasury visibility.

Required profile

• 6+ years of accounting/controllership experience with full ownership of close and reporting.
• Prior experience in web3 or crypto‑heavy environments (mandatory).
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/GAAP) and experience with multi‑jurisdiction entities.
• Excellent documentation discipline and ability to work in a lean, high‑ownership setting.
