Risk & Compliance Specialist – Global Third‑Party Due Diligence

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Risk & Compliance Specialist to lead third‑party due diligence activities on a global scale. The role will work closely with legal, procurement and risk teams to identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks related to sanctions, anti‑money‑laundering (AML) and anti‑bribery‑corruption (ABC) regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct third‑party due diligence, including AML and ABC checks for new and existing suppliers, using a risk‑based approach.
• Document, discuss and escalate sanctions issues in line with internal SOPs.
• Perform periodic external reviews of sanctions, AML and ABC regulations and assess their impact on J&J processes.
• Maintain relationships with legal departments to review red‑flags identified during due‑diligence.
• Consolidate and monitor due‑diligence results for low, medium and high‑risk alerts and provide regulatory guidance.
• Execute quarterly/annual screening of the supplier database for sanctions red‑flags.
• Communicate action‑plan status and alerts to stakeholders and partner with risk functions to ensure consistent global compliance processes.
• Escalate AML, ABC and sanctions issues and support the development of mitigation action plans.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of sanctions, AML and ABC regulations and their application to third‑party risk.
• Experience collaborating with legal, procurement and risk teams in a multinational environment.
• Ability to analyse regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable compliance processes.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder management.
