Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist

About the role

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team at Kuehne+Nagel, you will provide holistic support to customers in sea freight, helping to transport a wide range of goods from medicines to machine parts. Your work ensures smooth order processing and strengthens long‑term, partnership‑based relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries and prepare tailored offers for sea freight services.
• Manage the full order cycle—from acceptance and document verification to shipment completion.
• Integrate and maintain customer data, and generate reports for service analysis and optimisation.
• Collaborate closely with operational departments, sales teams, and carriers.
• Expand existing customer portfolios, develop new business opportunities, and acquire new customers.

Required profile

• Completed training as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk or a comparable qualification.
• First professional experience in customer service, preferably within transport or forwarding.
• Confident use of MS Office applications.
• Independent, team‑oriented, and service‑focused working style.
• Strong communication skills, confident appearance, and high customer orientation.
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English.
