Senior Accountant – Finance Operations & Revenue

About the role

The company, a fast‑growing B2B SaaS provider for public transit and mobility operations, is looking for a highly analytical Senior Accountant to strengthen its finance operations. You will own full‑cycle accounting processes, ensure accurate revenue recognition, and support the organization’s rapid scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare full‑cycle financial statements and support the month‑end close process.
• Produce accurate monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and departmental budgeting insights.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany activity.
• Own deferred revenue and unbilled accounts receivable reconciliations for SaaS subscription, usage‑based, and recurring billing models.
• Manage equity accounting, stock‑based compensation, and ESOP‑related entries.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, handling additions, disposals, amortization, and depreciation.
• Conduct sales‑tax and economic‑nexus research across U.S. states and international jurisdictions, preparing supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience preparing financial statements and managing complex reconciliations.
• Proven background in SaaS revenue recognition and subscription‑based accounting.
• Strong knowledge of equity accounting, stock‑based compensation, and fixed‑asset management.
• Ability to perform detailed sales‑tax research and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
