Senior Accountant – Remote

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a fast‑growing financial services client. This fully remote position combines deep U.S. accounting expertise with the agility needed in dynamic startup environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S.‑based clients, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Apply startup accounting principles, balancing best practices with limited resources and shifting priorities.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline operations.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA preferred.
• Proven ability to work with external stakeholders in a client‑facing or public‑accounting setting.
• Comfort making financial judgments in fast‑paced, less structured environments.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive, Zoom, Google Meet
• Familiarity with Rippling, Brex, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, Ramp (highly desirable)
• Experience integrating external applications with QBO
