Senior Brand and Web Designer (UI/UX) - CRO

About the role

Scale Smartly places senior offshore talent with US founders and is looking for a hands-on Senior Brand and Web Designer (UI/UX) to work directly with its founder. The company already has a website, brand, client stories and a clear idea of who it serves; the designer will define the visual direction and turn it into a homepage and seven reusable page templates in Figma, then review every page as it is built and correct it until it matches the intended standard. The role is heavily focused on UI/UX, CRO, typography and spacing, and requires fluent spoken and written English.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the business, its ideal clients and services, and review the existing brand and website to recommend a cohesive visual direction.
• Develop typography, colours, imagery, layouts and graphic treatments, present concepts and turn feedback into better work.
• Design the homepage and seven page templates (role pages, client stories, service pages, landing pages, pricing, about and contact), including navigation, calls to action, forms and interactions, for desktop and mobile.
• Build organized Figma files with reusable components and styles, and prepare assets and guidance for the build.
• Review each page as it is built and correct it until it meets the intended standard, keeping the site consistent as more pages are added.
• Design new pages as the business grows and extend the website's direction into decks and other brand materials.

Required profile

• A strong portfolio of real, launched marketing websites.
• Experience setting or substantially changing a website's visual direction.
• Experience designing website navigation and user journeys, and reviewing live pages during a build.
• Preferred: experience with recruiting firms, consultancies or other B2B service businesses, and websites designed with AI tools.

Required skills

• Advanced Figma, including Auto Layout, components and reusable design systems.
• Strong command of typography, layout, hierarchy and responsive design.
• Preferred: working knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Pay is $3,000-$5,000 per month depending on portfolio and ability, and the position is remote with flexible hours.
