Senior Business Application Administrator (Costpoint SME)

About the role

Emmes Group, a clinical research company with two business units (Emmes, a full-service CRO, and Veridix AI), is hiring a Senior Business Application Administrator focused on Deltek Costpoint, ideally. The role covers advanced management, configuration and optimization of enterprise applications so they remain highly available, secure and scalable. It suits candidates who can hire in the US, Colombia or Panama.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure and maintain enterprise applications to ensure high availability, security and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues, coordinating with vendors or IT teams as needed.
• Manage advanced user access, role design and governance in line with security and compliance policies.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding, ensuring efficient provisioning and deprovisioning of access.
• Plan, test and implement complex patches, upgrades, integrations and major releases under change management policies.
• Document system architectures, operational procedures and configuration changes for knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
• Work with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions and optimize application usage.
• Provide advanced end-user support, mentoring and training to improve adoption.
• Audit application access, logs and security configurations periodically; ensure compliance with security standards, data protection and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation, performance improvements and system optimization.
• Contribute to product roadmaps, evaluate new features and recommend enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in application administration, configuration or support.
• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise applications, integrations and lifecycle management.
• Experience leading complex troubleshooting and coordinating with vendors and IT teams.
• Preferred: 1-3 years mentoring junior administrators or acting as technical lead.

Required skills

• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, ServiceNow) are strongly preferred depending on the applications supported.
• High-level knowledge of enterprise applications, system administration and IT security principles.
• High-level proficiency in troubleshooting, configuration and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of advanced user account management, access controls and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, change management and documentation best practices.
