Senior Data Platform Engineer (Fullstack/Data) - Remote Colombia/Costa Rica

About the role

Gorilla Logic is hiring a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own the data behind a campaign-management platform that manages paid search and paid social campaigns across more than a thousand Google Ads and Meta accounts for automotive dealerships. The role replaces a third-party tool the client currently licenses. It is an integration-heavy position connecting the platform to the client's own business data (Salesforce budgets, Snowflake inventory, dealer offers and manufacturer files) and proving each migration wave works, running production operations during the move, and handing over to the client's data team.

The position is remote and open only to candidates based in Colombia or Costa Rica.

Key responsibilities

• Build the Salesforce budget sync: read budget lines and enrollments without writing them, hold campaigns with no matching line item, and keep the two budget families separate.
• Build the dealer crosswalk linking dealers to their Google Ads and Meta accounts, Salesforce records and inventory feeds, with exception reports and automatic onboarding of new enrollments.
• Ingest daily VIN-level inventory from Snowflake, offers from S3 feeds and an offers API, and manufacturer enrollment files, with freshness and completeness checks.
• Build pacing detection (current-day spend, month-end projection) and the Incentive Sync engine, validating offers against manufacturer rules and removing them exactly once on expiry.
• Model manufacturer rules, allowed values and model lineups as versioned, effective-dated data, and supply dealer and inventory data to the playbook renderer and campaign selection.
• Produce the evidence pipeline for each migration wave (before-and-after aggregates, ID checks, settings diffs, tracking audit, zero-spend checks) and run five production waves, binding campaigns to budgets and fixing inherited tracking parameters.
• Run production operations during the migration: observability tuning, incident response, API quota monitoring and rollback drills, coordinated with the platform pod's on-call.
• Hand over pipelines, runbooks, environments and data contracts, write decision records and documentation, and run the data working sessions with the client's data team and Salesforce administrators.
• Complete Gorilla Logic's internal AI engineering training; use only approved AI tooling under least-privilege credentials and review every AI-generated artifact.

Required profile

• Six or more years building and operating production data or integration systems.
• Production operations on AWS: incidents handled, monitoring, quotas, runbooks and infrastructure as code; strong Azure experience is acceptable with a demonstrated path to AWS.
• Clear written and spoken English, and comfort presenting work to US client stakeholders.
• Daily use of AI coding tools with real review discipline.

Required skills

• Salesforce integration: custom objects, SOQL, bulk reads and change detection.
• Snowflake extracts, S3 file feeds, REST APIs and a pipeline orchestrator on AWS.
• Data quality and identity resolution, with exception reports and blocking on ambiguous matches.
• Solid SQL, production Python or PHP, and secure handling of production credentials.
• Preferred: Google Ads or Meta Marketing API reporting, Merchant Center or Meta catalogs, PHP and Laravel, automotive retail data, live migrations with rollback plans, rules engines or containers on AWS.
