Senior Data Scientist

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Data Scientist to work with large‑scale consumer and retail datasets, focusing on data quality, statistical methods, sampling, and pipeline validation. This role supports key business decisions by ensuring product accuracy and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with large consumer and behavioural datasets used across North America.
• Evaluate and improve existing data preparation, validation, and projection methodologies.
• Design and prototype new statistical or data‑driven approaches for market and measurement challenges.
• Develop end‑to‑end quality, validation, and performance indicators tied to product accuracy.
• Partner with product, engineering, and global data science teams to deploy new solutions.
• Investigate data issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Statistical Analyst, or similar hands‑on analytics role.
• Strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, or data science.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and explain technical concepts clearly.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python for data manipulation, validation, and analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and experience querying large, complex datasets.
• Experience with data cleaning, validation, aggregation, and quality control at scale.
• Hands‑on experience in cloud environments, preferably Azure and Databricks.
• Familiarity with version control (Git).
• Knowledge of Spark / PySpark is a plus.
